Vehicle Mobility Technical SME

Key Role:

Apply engineering physics, engineering mathematics, and materials science principles to support the design, analysis, manufacturing, or maintenance of mechanical systems. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed actions or decisions and mentor or supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience using MATLAB and Simulink
  • Knowledge of software packages for modeling and simulation of vehicle mobility, including the NATO Reference Mobility Model
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience with mechanical or aerospace engineering, including the modeling and simulation of tactical ground vehicles and their components, or Master’s degree and 4+ years of experience with mechanical or aerospace engineering, including the modeling and simulation of tactical ground vehicles and their components

Additional Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering
  • Experience using Git repositories
  • Experience acting as domain expert in integrated product team, developing computer-based models and simulations
  • Experience with multidisciplinary teams developing computer-based models and simulations
  • ​Knowledge of foreign ground combat systems
  • Knowledge of simulation frameworks, including ODESSA, ITASE, or AFSIM
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in-person and virtually through telephone, video conferences, and developing documentation
  • TS/SCI clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
