Description:

Soliant Education is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Abbeville, South Carolina area. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse learners across various grade levels (K-12) in both resource and self-contained settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in both resource and self-contained classrooms.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure the successful inclusion of students with special needs.
  • Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies and accommodations to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and behavior.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and educational goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid South Carolina teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students with various disabilities and exceptionalities.
  • Knowledge of best practices in special education instruction and behavior management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
