Retail Pharmacist (Full-time) Travel

Supervision: Reports to Retail Pharmacy Manager and Director of Pharmacy

Shift: Days;Full Time

Job Duties:

  • Provide specialized pharmaceutical services to improve drug usage and therapeutic outcomes.
  • Advise physicians on drug therapy, toxicity, side effects, appropriate doses, and ensure the adequacy of drug supplies.
  • Oversee the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain relationships with medical and nursing staff, providing timely information on pharmaceuticals and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct medication use reviews, assess patient compliance, and suggest modifications to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Ensure the secure storage and proper inventory of medicinal products.
  • Respond to medication-related queries from within the hospital and the general public.

Job Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy and licensed through the successful passage of a licensure exam in accordance with NABP standards.
  • PharmD preferred.
  • Three years of retail experience as a pharmacist preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Current Nebraska license to practice pharmacy required.
