We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and qualified 8th Grade English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year in Riverdale, GA.

Job Description: As an 8th Grade ELA Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking in your students. You will create a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages academic growth and personal development. Your responsibilities will include planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues and parents to support student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging and effective ELA curriculum aligned with state standards.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet the needs of all students.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student learning and well-being.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education.
  • Manage classroom behavior in a positive and proactive manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid teaching certification in Georgia for middle school ELA.
  • Strong knowledge of ELA curriculum and state standards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
