As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll be pivotal in nurturing the communication and language development of our students in Jasper, Oregon. Through close collaboration with educators, parents, and colleagues, you'll identify and address speech and language disorders, ensuring each student achieves academic and social success.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough speech and language assessments to pinpoint communication disorders within a K-12 caseload.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans for students facing speech and language challenges.
  • Cultivate a supportive and inclusive learning environment by effectively collaborating with teachers, parents, and specialists.
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
  • Monitor and meticulously document student progress, adjusting intervention plans as necessary.
  • Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing valuable insights to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide professional development and support to teachers and staff on speech and language topics.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Hold an Oregon state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Maintain an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Preferably, have experience working in a school setting.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team of professionals.
