The Resident Assistant (RA) is a live-in, part-time, current College of Coastal Georgia student employee in the residence hall. This position requires employees who are able to positively represent this Office and the College to various internal and external constituents with a positive and professional demeanor at all times.The student employee must have effective writing, verbal communication skills, and Microsoft Office skills. Student employees must have a high level of integrity as they may come into contact with confidential information. The RA will act as an information resource on the floor and in the residence halls, maintain a high level of ethical standards and always display a positive attitude. The RA will maintain the safety and security of the residence halls and report concerns to professional staff members in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. This position is designated by the institution as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).The weekly schedule will be assigned by the supervisor in conjunction with the student¿s class schedule. The work schedule is subject to change between semesters or as needed.
