The Mission Ahead

Under direct supervision, assigned daily work. May explain instructions and documentation to plan work activities. Helps coordinate movement of materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site. Completes and reviews records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean up activities. Job may require moderate to heavy lifting. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.

Who You Are

Provides specialized technical expertise in support of the Transportation department, including specialized inspection and testing techniques, quality training, statistical methods, audits, quality tools for problem solving and assessment. Creates inspection reports stating the conditions of a work area to ensure requirements are met. Makes recommendations for corrective action. Applies knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution. Implements principles of performance evaluation and prediction methods are used to improve product systems safety, reliability, and maintainability. Responsible for maintaining quality standard of products and the procedures and materials that go into work scope.

This role will be located in Chantilly, VA, and will be expected to travel between our facilities in Chantilly and Springfield, VA.  This position is expected to be onsite 100%.

What You’ll Do

As a Transportation Analyst, you will:

  • Analyze transportation data to identify trends and efficiency improvements.

  • Develop and implement logistics plans that reduce transportation costs and increase efficiency.

  • Coordinate with vendors and shipping companies to manage logistics operations.

  • Prepare reports and presentations for management on transportation strategies and outcomes.

  • Maintain Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed the set standards.

  • Facilitate Team Communication: Ensure clear and consistent communication within the team and with other project stakeholders to keep everyone informed and aligned on project goals and updates.

  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in transportation logistics or analysis.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis software.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Must possess an active U.S Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. Willingness to take a polygraph and upgrade clearance as required. 

  • Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.

  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.

  • Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.
