Hematology-Oncology Fellowship Program Director

Bayhealth is seeking a visionary and dedicated physician to serve as the Program Director for our ACGME-accredited Hematology-Oncology Fellowship Program. This is a unique opportunity to lead and shape the next generation of hematologists and oncologists in a dynamic academic and clinical environment.Key Responsibilities• Oversee all aspects of the fellowship program, ensuring compliance with ACGME standards and institutional policies• Develop and maintain a robust, evidence-based curriculum that integrates clinical excellence, research, and professional development• Mentor and evaluate fellows, fostering a culture of inquiry, compassion, and lifelong learning• Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to enhance educational and clinical experiences• Lead recruitment and selection of fellows• Participate in clinical care, research, and scholarly activities within the Bayhealth Cancer Institute and Bayhealth Hematology-Oncology AssociatesQualifications• Board-certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience post-fellowship• Must have administrative experience and at least three years of participation as an active faculty member in an ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency or hematology or medical oncology fellowship.• Demonstrated commitment to medical education and mentorship• Eligibility for medical licensure in DelawareWhat We Offer [HR to add and edit]• Competitive compensation and benefits package• Protected time for administrative and academic responsibilities• Opportunity to collaborate with Hem-Onc Faculty at University of Pennsylvania on didactic programs and Bone Marrow Transplant rotation at Penn• Access to cutting-edge research and clinical trials through Bayhealth Cancer Institute’s membership in the Penn Cancer Network• Opportunity to teach and mentor Internal Medicine Residents and Medical Students• Supportive, collaborative faculty and institutional leadershipAbout UsThe Bayhealth Cancer Institute was founded to deliver the best cancer care in Delaware by providing state-of-the-art treatment, clinical research, education and prevention to the people of our region through comprehensive, compassionate, and cutting-edge care.
