Accounts Receivable Specialist

Client: Transportation Company 
Location: Hoboken, NJ
Payrate: $25/hr -$32/hr 
Contract to Hire 
Onsite five days a week 
Free parking and easy access to public transit 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing for customers with specific billing requirements.
  • Handle billing for a large volume of service and repair work orders.
  • Work closely with the maintenance department to resolve billing issues.
  • Review daily invoice notes and coordinate with Sales and Operations on any inquiries.
  • Support account reconciliations as needed.
  • Maintain and update customer and vendor account details.
  • Upload invoices to specified customer portals.
  • Take on additional tasks as assigned.
  • Actively participate in collaboration with the accounts receivable team and leadership.

  • Ability to maintain accuracy and efficiency while working under tight deadlines.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Technically proficient and analytical, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.

Required Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in accounts receivable.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
  • Experience with Sage 300 is a benefit
