Location: Huntersville, NC
Shift: 5:45 pm - 6am, Friday through Sunday
Pay Rate: $20.96 – $22.29
Job DescriptionScreening Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient and successful operation of our screening line on a variety of high and medium voltage cable designs. Operator will oversee the process of the line to ensure proper SOP is being followed and no defective product makes it to the next operation.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for the proper setup, changeover, and overall operation of the stranding line.
• Responsible for verifying line components match shop paperwork outlined by planning and engineering department.
• Responsible for completing necessary cage/ line audits during each run.
• Leads, coaches and communicates information to helper.
• Completing required paperwork and Advaris transactions at the start, during and end of each run.
• Ability to lead DHP/pass down meeting with rotating shift.
• Ability to use and manipulate hand tools, including welding and crimping functions.
• Responsible for reporting all maintenance and quality issues to supervisor.
• Ability to sit/stand/move for up to 12 hours a day.
• Partner with internal resources on process improvements to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Report all incidents of Safety and Quality violations in support of a Culture of Zero.
• Responsible for maintaining general housekeeping.
