We currently have a direct hire opportunity available for a Distribution Manager in the Glendale, AZ area. This is an onsite position with our client. This role offers a competitive salary. This position requires someone who is a team player, that is detailed oriented and innovative, also able to make an impact.
This individual would be responsible for directing all policy, procedure, and operational aspects of the distribution center to safely achieve company goals, would ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery of inventory and finished goods. This individual would also manage inventory control, shipping and receiving, and warehouse operations and provide oversight to project improvement initiatives and capital expenditures as well budget adherence.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective leadership of others to ensure efficient distribution operations and adherence to policy, procedure, and process excellence.
  • Ensure well-being of associates through compliance with all safety and Hazmat rules and regulations, legal regulations, and human resources policies across multiple shifts.
  • Manage key performance indicators to include safety, productivity, budget adherence and inventory control.
  • Foster and environment which is conducive to process improvement initiatives.
  • Control costs through process improvement initiatives, productivity of personnel, efficient utilization of space and protection of stores materials.
  • Ensure facility employees receive appropriate training in all aspects of daily performance.
  • Oversee compliance with corporate policies and procedures as well as Federal, State, and local laws and statutes.
  • Actively participate in facility budget development and execution.
  • Collaborate across all departments to drive optimal productivity – foster an environment in which diverse backgrounds are respected and valued.
  • Cultivate an environment of coaching and mentoring direct reports.
  • Schedule maintenance and service on warehouse equipment.
  • Assist with Inventory Cycle Counts.

  • Knowledge of all regulations related to transportation.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (Korber/HighJump would be preferred)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Education:
  • Bachelors or better in Business Administration or related field - Preferred
