Major responsibilities include providing excellence in patient care, teaching, and, if desired, clinical research contributing to a varied academic eye practice. The Department consists of a small but growing group of talented ophthalmologists and optometrists, who offer a wide array of eye care services to the Jacksonville community. Our specialties include cornea and external disease, glaucoma, anterior segment surgery, diseases of the retina, uveitis, ocular tumors, oculoplastic and orbital surgery, neuro-ophthalmology, contact lenses, low vision and electrophysiology. We are a multi-specialty single location academic practice with a robust clinical volume. The Department has its own ophthalmology-specific surgery center adjacent to its clinical offices. The Department is open to the interests of potential candidates, and flexibility exists for those seeking specific experiences or career paths.
