Accounts Payable Specialist

Vaco Denver is seeking an immediately available Accounts Payable Specialist to join our valued client in the Denver Metro area. In this role, you will be responsible for the full accounts payable cycle, including processing invoices, maintaining vendor records, resolving invoice discrepancies, managing vendor communications, and supporting the Accounting Department with various tasks. This role ensures that all accounts, invoices, and payments are processed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounts payable functions
- Record, process, and reconcile accounts payable invoices in line with company policies
- Serve as a liaison between Accounts Payable, vendors, and other departments
- Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments
- Generate monthly reports to assist with month-end closing
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
- Lead projects to streamline and improve internal processes
- Review and process Concur Expense Reports
- Approve and process office supply purchases
- Allocate costs by department
- Perform other duties as assigned
- 2+ years of experience in full-cycle accounts payable processing
- Ability to manage projects independently with minimal supervision
- Experience supporting scalable operations as the organization grows
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and capable of problem-solving
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with Concur is a plus

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
