Job Title: Special Education Teacher (Secondary Math)

Location: Frederica, Delaware Area

Duration: Full-time, 2024-2025 School Year

Soliant Education is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Frederica, Delaware area. This position offers the opportunity to work with a secondary (high school) caseload, focusing on teaching mathematics to students with diverse learning needs.

Position Details:

• Teach secondary math to students with special education needs.
• Plan and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans to support student learning and achievement.
• Participate, and possibly facilitate, Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to develop and review student goals and accommodations.
• Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure the implementation of appropriate interventions and supports.
• Maintain accurate caseload records and data collection to track student progress.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited 4-year college or university in Education or related field.
• Must meet Delaware requirements for teaching licensure and subject area certification(s) in accordance with Delaware Professional Standards Board regulations.
• Experience working with secondary (high school) students with special needs preferred.
• Strong understanding of mathematics curriculum and instructional strategies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
