Job Description:

Soliant Education is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Math Teacher to join our team in the Frederica, DE area for the 2024-2025 school year. As a Special Education Math Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the academic and personal growth of students in high school, providing them with the support and instruction they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging and differentiated math lessons aligned with state standards and students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide direct instruction to students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities, learning differences, and behavioral challenges.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technologies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Assess students' progress and mastery of math concepts through ongoing formative and summative assessments.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and support personnel to ensure the academic and social-emotional needs of students are met.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on students' progress, share strategies for support at home, and address any concerns or questions.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of student attendance, grades, and progress toward IEP goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Mathematics Education, or related field.
• Valid Delaware teaching license with appropriate endorsements in Special Education and Mathematics.
• Experience teaching math to students with disabilities or in special education settings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of math curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.
