Remote Special Education Teacher-Washington

Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.

We are currently seeking an experienced Special Education teacher for the 2024-2025 school year, dedicated to making a positive impact on students lives through teletherapy, all from the comfort of your own home.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage students in goal planning, monitoring progress, and self-advocacy.

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students disabilities, unique learning needs, and goals. Provide remote instruction in various subjects, adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to meet students diverse learning styles and abilities.

  • Utilize technology and digital resources to engage students in virtual learning activities and promote academic progress.

  • Conduct virtual assessments and progress monitoring to evaluate students academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.

  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other team members to ensure comprehensive support for students.

  • Communicate with school administration and general education teachers to facilitate progress in the classroom.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

  • Available full-time or part-time during school hours.

  • Bachelors Level Degree in Education and Masters or Doctoral degree in Special Education from an accredited program.

  • Must have appropriate certified state teaching license in Washingtonand state of residence.

  • Must have a home computer and strong internet connection.

  • Experience with virtual platforms (Zoom/Teams) preferred.
