Job Summary:

Soliant is seeking dedicated and highly qualified Special Education Teachers to join our team for the upcoming school year. We have openings in two different high school settings:

  1. High School Algebra 2 Co-Teaching Position:

    • Caseload: 15-20 students
    • Setting: Co-teaching in an Algebra 2 classroom

  2. High School Alternative Setting Position:

    • Caseload: 10-12 students
    • Setting: Teaching US Government and possibly Art in an alternative setting

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement lesson plans, instruction, and assessments aligned with Arizona Academic Standards.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and present accurate information regarding student progress.
  • Ensure lessons and materials are appropriate for students, content area, and academic standards.
  • Utilize various resources, procedures, and models to enhance lesson delivery.
  • Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment, promoting self-esteem and mutual respect.
  • Provide constructive feedback and maintain a logical sequence in instruction.
  • Integrate materials across disciplines and organize resources to meet educational objectives.
  • Supervise students at all times and maintain accurate records of grades and attendance.
  • Adhere to Arizona Department of Education and District policies and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to create a conducive learning environment and adapt instruction to meet student needs.
  • Effective communication skills and professional conduct.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of teaching techniques to enhance higher-level thinking.

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Valid Arizona teaching certificate.
  • Provisional SEI endorsement, full ESL endorsement, or full Bilingual endorsement (must be obtained).
  • Highly qualified in the core content area of the assigned position.
  • Current and valid IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
