Budget Analyst I

Responsibilities
- The Budget analyst will provide direct support to the College of Strategic Security Cooperation (CSSC) and the Defense SCO Institute (DSI).
- Handle DTS travel for students and support as needed.
- Perform a variety of budget duties and responsibilities.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- What You Will Do:
- Provide budget support for all DSCU financial operations
- Prepare budget reports for various funding sources related to student funding, DTS orders, non-DTS orders, DSCU contracts, FMS, and OM&N
- Analyze funding by activity accounting for incoming funds and expenditures
- Enter budget data and perform reconciliation for various accounts
- Utilize DTS, DTA, and FDTA roles to manage accounts
- Key Responsibilities:
- Providing day to day budget support to CSSC and DSI
- Working closely with students on DTS issues
- Customer service and communication skills are important
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or at least one-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education
- Experience:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power BI
- Financial background
- Working independently with the ability to stay motivated and multitask.
- Work as a team to support the mission of the senior leadership office.
- Other Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
