 Job Summary
  • A Prosthetic/Orthotic Technician fabricates, repairs and maintains orthoses and/or prostheses under the direction and supervision of a Certified Prosthetist, Orthotist and/or Pedorthist. They are proficient with current fabricating techniques, familiar with material properties and skilled in the use of all necessary equipment. May also be responsible for maintaining desired inventory of materials needed for prosthetic and orthotic fabrication, which can include ordering materials/parts, monitoring inventory and receiving and sending shipments.

  • Education
    • Required: High school Diploma or Equivalent
    • Preferred: Associates Degree
  • Experience
    • Experience preferred but not required 
  • Skills
    • Mechanical ability and hand-eye coordination to use laboratory tools and machines effectively and safely.
    • Effective organizational, time management and planning skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and verbal skills for communication with others.
    • Ability to work effectively as a team member.
    • Ability to multitask and work in high stress situations.
