Dallas College is seeking an experienced, highly collaborative leader with a proven track record of enhancing student success, academic quality, and institutional excellence in a dynamic higher education environment. The Associate Dean, Academic Success and Retention, will work closely with senior pathway specialists to understand enrollment trends, track student completion, and communicate effectively with department chairs to build and adjust schedules as needed. This role will oversee students enrolled in the new Bachelor of Applied Technology program, ensuring they are tracked to completion. This position will report to the Dean of Engineering, Information Technology and Computer Science and falls under the School of Engineering Technology Mathematics and Sciences.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of the purpose of community colleges and the vision of Dallas College.
Ability to analyze and interpret enrollment data and student performance metrics.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with students, faculty, and staff.
Proficiency in using technology to support student tracking and success initiatives.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Self-directed, with the capacity to design own workflow.
Physical Requirements

Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred.
Three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative and educational leadership experience, or equivalent.
Experience in student success initiatives and academic program management.
Official transcript will be required.

Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of Information Technology or related area is preferred.
Bilingual or Multi-Lingual Preferred
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with senior pathway specialists to analyze enrollment data and track student progress towards completion.
Communicate regularly with department chairs to develop and adjust academic schedules based on student needs and program requirements.
Oversee the Bachelor of Applied Technology program, ensuring students receive the support needed to complete their degrees.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance student retention and success.
Track students to completion of credentials.
Work closely with various departments within Dallas College to ensure a cohesive approach to student achievement.
Serve as a liaison between students, faculty, and administration to address and resolve issues related to student success.
Participate in college task forces, committees, and councils as required.
Complete required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.
Perform other duties as assigned.
