Content Management Software Developer

As an experienced content management engineer, you know how to create applications that are user-friendly, optimal, and customizable. You know the importance of organizing content in a visual way that meets UX standards and best practices. We need an engineer like you to help support our clients’ technology and improve their business workflows.


As a content management engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll lead the complex design and development of both “out of the box” and module or plugin development content management system (CMS) frameworks. With the support of your team, you’ll build integrated solutions from scratch, implement customizable features to enhance existing systems, and support site maintenance.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience creating and configuring customized content management solutions in an Agile environment

  • 5+ years of experience with basic programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks, including PHP, Python, or JavaScript

  • 5+ years of experience with legacy enterprise systems

  • Experience developing and testing interfaces between software products and products of other vendors

  • Experience with workflows, web parts, site maintenance, and APIs

  • Experience with custom theming and module development and content migration in Drupal or WordPress

  • Knowledge of source control systems, including GIT

  • Ability to address findings from design and code reviews and develop detailed specifications for program components within a collaborative, cross-functional team

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of experience in software development in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience creating and testing modules and components for compliance to design specifications

  • Experience working in a microservices or distributed application environment

  • Experience in HTML, CSS, C#, C, C++, .NET, React, Angular, or NodeJS

  • Experience with cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

  • Knowledge of Force Design

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
