Job Title: Full-Time Occupational Therapist (OT)

Position(s) Available: Occupational Therapist (OT)

Duration: ASAP through June 16, 2025

Hours: 40 hours per week

Caseload: Approximately 25 students

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team at Hatchery Hill Elementary School. This position involves working with students in grades Pre-K through 1, providing essential occupational therapy services to support their academic and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' occupational therapy needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and other areas of need.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress and integrate therapy goals into the classroom setting.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student goals and progress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of therapy sessions and student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid New Jersey Certification as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience working with young children, particularly in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with sensory integration and fine motor skill development.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices in occupational therapy.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.
