The Mitre Labs Sector (ML) FP&A team supports the organization by providing data-driven insights which supports the financial success of the ML organization. In addition, the ML FP&A is the knowledge and data leader of the finance organization seeking to increase efficiencies – automation for ML leadership as well as supporting all aspects of the finance organization.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Support monthly finance reviews (P&L Flash and Look-forward Reviews) plus yearly and quarterly board deliverables
  • Engage with Business finance leads to review monthly and forward looking KPI’s and support leadership on financial performance management, financial planning, and ad-hoc projects
  • Develop and maintain divisional revenue forecasts with Deep Dive analyses, considering delivery capacity & project demand BI
  • Support annual budget and forecast process by tracking revenue (elements of cost), demand/capacity analysis and overall deliverable to ML leaderships and Corporate Finance.
  • Own the indirect reporting process of actuals which includes assisting leadership in guiding Indirect planning & budget utilization for short, medium & long-term projects.
  • Develop more effective rate reporting including real-time rate impact analysis
  • Train new employees in ML business management as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, including MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Basic Tableau skills plus IBM Cognos and other MITRE reporting systems.
  • Intermediate understanding of financial concepts and management best practices.
  • Ability to lead initiatives and workstreams to drive process and measurement change across operational areas.
  • Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond positively to changes in priorities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities, and see projects through to completion.
  • Employ problem-solving skills and analysis.
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Perform other related duties as may be requested/required.
  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site presence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interest in pursuing Master’s degree
