Duties:

This position requires a strong commitment to teaching and diversity while incorporating technology and innovation in the delivery of instruction. The ability to infuse new approaches into the teaching/learning process is essential. Candidates must be able to work actively and collegially.

The responsibilities of an Emergency Management Unstructor are to provide hands-on and classroom instruction in paramedic or AEMT course(s) and/orassisting in coordination of the didactic, lab, clinical and/or field internship instruction.

Education/Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in nursing, health sciences or related field or higher; Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum two years of EMS teaching experience required
  • Minimum two years of full-time paramedic experience required
  • IDPH Certification as EMS Leader or Office of State Fire Marshall Instructor Certification required



Qualifications:

IDPH Certification as an EMS Lead Instructor or Office of the State Fire Marshall Instructor I Certification; minimum 2 years full-time paramedic experience.
Must be a minimum of Illinois RN and Illinois Paramedic. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paramedic. Minimum of 2 years EMS teaching experience.
Ability to provide excellent instruction successfully.
