Summer Stem Instructor

Nexplore is an education enrichment company that offers after-school, in-school, and summer programs that enrich the lives of students in over 800 schools nationwide. Our mission is to foster the Joy of Learning through enrichment opportunities so that each child may discover and explore a passion that drives him or her to excel.
Nexplore Instructor Role:
The Nexplore Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality, in-person STEM instruction to support students fostering the joy of learning. Supplied with lesson plans, curriculum, and materials, the Nexplore Instructor is responsible for preparing for instruction and teaching students in grades K-5. They will report to a Nexplore Program Success Manager.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Arrive on time and prepared to teach (must review lesson plans and materials prior to instruction)
Manage instructional materials
Deliver lessons from Nexplore’s collection of 45+ programs (schedule/lessons will be provided)
Follow required teacher: student classroom ratios at all times, as relevant
Communicate and collaborate with Nexplore Program Success Manager and site personnel
Nexplore Classes
Instructors use the Nexplore STEAM curriculum and lesson plans.
Materials and resources for the classes will be provided.

Site: 119-17 Union Tpke, Forest Hills NY 11375
Schedule: Friday, July 19th, 1:00 PM- 2:00 PM
Compensation - $100/On-Site Field Trip
Qualifications:
Part-time position
AA Degree (or higher)
2+ years teaching/instructing (preferred)
Experience working with children
Educational (development or training) experience
A teaching degree or certificate is a PLUS
Must commit to the full proposed schedule
Great communication and presentation skills
**Requirements**:
Reliable transportation
Willing to complete mandatory training
