LeafFilteris seeking a driven and open-minded intern to join our team toassist with the execution our social media strategy. We have agrowing brand that is ready to take our social efforts to the nextlevel. This person will execute the day-to-day social mediastrategy and customer communication to grow our onlinecommunity.

 

Thisposition will play an integral role in maintaining high levels ofengagement among our existing fan-base while actively looking toreach new audiences to enhance the overall digital presence of ourbrand. The Social Media Intern will collaborate with thecommunications team to engage and moderate brand conversationsthough our primary social channels while supporting digitalmarketing strategies to drive business objectives, brand awarenessand customer engagement.

 

Essential Duties andResponsibilities:

  • Implementthe North American social media and communications campaigns toalign with overarching digital marketingstrategies.
  • Support our social media team todrive customer engagement, boosts brand awareness, and supportssales initiatives.
  • Manage the conversation andgrowth of our digital communities.
  • Collaboratewith team members to produce, moderate, and respond to onlineconversations.  
  • Assist with analyticalreporting to deliver in-depth metrics to grow and shape bestpractices for our social channels, including competitiveanalysis.
  • Interact, traffic and support socialmedia community conversation from customers, prospects, and brandfollowers; including conflictmanagement
  • Contribute ideas and content forblogs posts, content syndication, and in-marketpartnerships.
  • Build relationships withcustomers, potential customers, influencers, industry professionalsin an effort to support the development of a blogger and influencerprogram(s).

 

Competencies:

  • Hands on experience with social mediamanagement with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest,and YouTube
  • Proven work experience as acommunity management
  • Ability to identify atarget market and speak to the consumer through socialplatforms.
  • Utilization of emerging digital andsocial trends. You should also be comfortable testing new ideas andtactics on all platforms
  • Experience launchingcommunity initiatives that drive brandengagement
  • Ability to identify and trackrelevant social media and community metrics (e.g. repeat attendanceat events)
  • Attention to detail and ability tomultitask
  • Ability to work both with a teamand/or individually to achieve goals, meet deadlines,etc
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in afast-paced environment, under tight deadlines

 

Required Educationand/or Experience:

  • Minimumof 1 years’ experience managing a social media department workingin an agency or corporate environment.
  • Passionfor and solid knowledge of socialmedia.
  • Knowledge of social media tools:scheduling/posting, reporting/analysis.
  • Abilityto be flexible with work hours.
  • Excellentwritten and verbal communication, strong editing skills, contentdevelopment, presentation.
  • Highly creative andprocess-driven.
  • Experience doing in-depthcompetitor analysis
