Responsibilities

The individual selected for this position will support the Sponsor’s organization responsible for franchising IT services and capabilities across the larger Sponsor while adding value to enterprise initiatives and mission elements. This includes providing project coordination, enterprise systems engineering and integration and business process engineering.

 

  • Perform detailed analysis of databases for extraction purposes and provide recommendations for archive repositories and replacement application platforms (SharePoint, ServiceNow, HIVE, and Excel).
  • Generate technical documentation on a variety of subjects related to the Lotus Notes decommission effort, such as instructions for performing processing of DDT entries, data extractions, and guidelines for ADO reviews.
  • Reviews including scheduling of meetings and preparation of briefings/presentations
  • Work closely with both technical and non-technical team across the organization to transition Lotus Notes databases to Enterprise capabilities.
  • Work with a CAST Notes decommission project team composed of another CAST Systems Integrator (SI),
  • Technical Director (TD), and Program Manager (PM). The Sponsor’s program manager will manage the priorities.
  • Use the Sponsor’s custom Lotus Notes extraction application
  • Troubleshoot and resolve failed Lotus Notes extractions and migration issues
  • Prepare reports and brief Lotus Notes extraction and migration statuses
  • Make recommendations and detail best practices on how data can be transitioned off Lotus Notes more efficiently and reliably
  • Assist the project team with data collection and system oversight responsibilities
  • Provide input into decommission strategies and issues
  • Capture Lotus Notes database inventory, activity, metrics, and provides workflow functionality, including the extraction of database contents, to support the decommission of all Lotus Notes databases.
  • Recognized technical focal point between CAST and Partner Engagement Services (PES) partner chiefs and program managers.
  • Support the CAST PMO and SI with metrics gathering, often creating custom views and formulas/calculations based on requirements.
  • Coordinate and lead Technical Exchange Meetings related to decommission options between mission partners and/or PES team members

Qualifications

  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • A bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline
  • 12 years experience, plus more than 1 year supporting the sponsor
  • Ability to fully coordinate project schedules
  • Ability to coordinate program management process activities such as Program Reviews and Control Gate
  • Ability to assist in the preparation of management plans and reports
  • Ability to maintain correspondence suspense files, records, files for reports, operating procedures, internal memorandums, and compose correspondence
  • Ability to compose technical documents including user’s manuals, training materials, installations guides, proposals, and reports
  • Ability to fully perform tasks requiring the collecting, compiling, evaluating and publishing of information and statistical data.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment
  • Ability to coordinate with engineers, systems analysts, programmers, technicians, scientist and top-level managers in the coordination and planning of programs
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Lotus Notes transitioning experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of the WMA sponsor wide Lotus Notes decommission effort.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, sufficient to convey moderately complex ideas and information on technical/administrative mission-related issues in a well-organized, logical, concise, credible, and courteous manner that is appropriate for the situation, topic, and listener
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience identifying strengths and weaknesses and providing solutions to problems
  • Critical thinking skills sufficient to make sound and timely recommendations and/or decisions in unique situations, considering alternate actions
  • Analytical skills sufficient to analyze complicated and/or sensitive information to address moderately complex mission-related issues
