Job Title: Flower Lead 

Pay Rate: $20-25/hr 

Type: Non-Exempt, Hourly 

Location: Albuquerque, NM 

Position Objective 

The Flower Lead is an integral member of our cannabis cultivation team, responsible for assisting the Grow Manager and Master Grower executing cultivation plans and ensuring the optimal growth of cannabis plants. This role involves various tasks related to plant maintenance, harvesting, and general farm responsibilities.  

Major Functions 

BiotTrackTHC compliance 

• Ensure the cultivation facility is always fully compliant. 
• Updating clones, cups, mature plant, flowering plants to bio-track. 
• Assign and print plant tags 

Harvesting & Post-Harvest 

• Cutting plants down 
• Weighing plants 
• Load racks with product 
• Unloading racks with dried product.
• Weighting and packaging finished products.
• Labeling packaging with proper labels.
• Depositing of unusable material according to regulations and company guidelines.
• Maintaining and scheduling Grow room cleaning. 

On-site supervisor  

• Have keys and codes to building. 
• Assure compliant and safe practices throughout the facility. 
• Responsible for communicating any issues to management. 
• Complete watering for the day and EOD checklist. 
• Locking and arming the building before leaving. 
• Verifying data logs and accuracy of data entries. 
• Developing, scheduling, and implementing daily projects for the facility and leading techs through projects. 
• Any other projects, tasks or duties assigned by management. 
• Communicating daily with the Assistant Grow Manger on duties, tasks, activities, and all grow operations and facility operation 

Gardening

• Bottoming & topping plants.
• Moving plants to proper areas in Veg/Flower.
• Flipping plants into flower.
• Writing tags and collaring onto plants 

Integrated pest management (IPM) 

• Writing IPM schedules for all stages of plant growth in multiple environments. 
• Hold a valid Applicator’s license. 
• Knowledge of PPE requirements and laws associated.  
• Stay current to New Mexico’s approved pesticide list. 
• Print, organize, and have general knowledge for all MSDS for each individual pesticide. 
• Be knowledgeable of new equipment that is usable for each environment. (i.e. New sprayers, new masks, new tanks) 
• Maintaining and logging post-pathogen checks. 
• Scheduling all IPM applications. 
• Mixing and PH pesticide buckets. 
• Paint sprayer and backpack sprayer maintenance. 
• Prepping rooms for spraying. 
• Cleaning pre and post spray. 
• Setting up and using paint sprayer in each room.
• Turning on and off grow lights in all rooms.
• Turning on and off fans in all rooms.
• Triple rinsing mixing buckets and sprayers.
• Sample collection and test coordination 

Fertigation 

• Assist in the design and create of irrigation systems in all buildings or rooms with plants. 
• Strong understanding of Dosatron systems and automated watering systems. 
• Create quotes and price analysis on parts needed for irrigation expansion projects. 

Building of new equipment. 

• Build all new racks. 
• Hang lights on new racks and any new locations. 
• Hang/replace wall fans. 

Building maintenance. 

• A/C unit maintenance.  
• R.O. maintenance. 
• Dehumidifier maintenance. 
• Irrigation and fertigation maintenance. 

Maintaining, developing, and running flower cycles. 

• Scheduling and/or doing all flower plant work. 
• Developing data collection logs and maintaining log entries.
• Maintaining appropriate maintenance logs.
• Scheduling and maintaining room equipment (A/C, HVAC, Brains, etc.).

Education and Experience 

• Must be at least 21 years of age.  
• High school diploma or equivalent. 
• Strong communication skills. 
• Strong computer knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office. 
• Strong leadership skills. 
• Must be flexible. 
• Positive attitude under pressure. 

Working Conditions?(Schedule, Environment, Travel) 

• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds multiple times a day 
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods 
• Ability to work in hot and humid conditions
