Lincoln Electric is seeking an Engineering Technician for our Euclid, OH headquarters. The Engineering Technician will play a key role in supporting our Engine Drive R&D Commercial Products Group. This is a hands-on technical role that requires both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills. You’ll work closely with our R&D Engineers to support product enhancements and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do:

-Provides technical support to engineers and scientists in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development.
-Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems.
-Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles and manipulates technical data using established formula and procedures and performs detailed mathematical calculations.
-Work in Machine R&D laboratory assisting multiple projects in the design, construction, and testing of welding products.
-Use data acquisition system, computers, and CAD as required. Assist in the preparation of documentation.
-Operate basic lab equipment including meters, oscilloscopes, temperature recorders, etc. (Training provided as needed).
 

Required Experience & Education

-Level II:Vocational Training & 3+ years of related experience or, High School Diploma or equivalent & 5+ years of experience in related field.
-Level III:Vocational Training & 5+ years of related experience or, Associates Degree in related field or, High School Diploma or equivalent & 7+ years of experience in related field.
-Level IV:Vocational Training & 8+ years of related experience or, High School Diploma or equivalent & 10+ years of experience in related field.
-Level V:Vocational Training & 10+ years of related experience or, High School Diploma or equivalent & 12+ years of experience in related field.
-Has working knowledge and skills to perform a defined set of analytical/scientific methods or operational processes.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team with excellent organizational skills.
-Ability to work on multiple projects with supervision and clear instruction.
-Ability to use personal computers and common laboratory equipment.
-Ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, schematics, and test specifications.
-Capable of lifting 60 pounds on an occasional basis.
-Good hands-on assembly and troubleshooting skills.
-Electrical/electronic experience is a plus.
