Position Overview

The Department of Near Eastern and South Asian Languages and Cultures within the College of Arts and Sciences is pleased to announce a vacancy for a temporary associated faculty position (non-tenure track) for the 2024 Autumn Semester.

Performance Objectives

The incumbent will teach one course (Hebrew 3704 of the Bible and Beyond), hold office hours, grade assignments, and submit grades, participate in curriculum development and related pedagogical activities.

Qualifications

Among the qualifications required for appointment is an M.A or Ph.D. degree in the academic study of the Hebrew Bible or a related field; advanced competency in Biblical Hebrew; strong experience in teaching at the university level, including teaching literary, cultural, and historical perspectives on the Hebrew Bible to American students in higher education; excellent English skills; evidence of ability to provide instruction online is desirable. Availability to teach during weekday evening hours.
