Key Responsibilities:The Training Instructor (Airport Operations) delivers classroom, practical, and on-the-job instruction for technical and interpersonal skills as well as courses and seminars for ongoing organizational priorities. The Training Instructor ensures updated accurate course content is being delivered using a variety of teaching approaches. The Training Instructor will also assist in identifying training requirements and related programs to assure achievement of local, regional, and corporate objectives. The Instructor may assist in the development and maintenance of course outlines and training materials. This person will also provide content, technical and procedural support on training subjects and issues.
- Delivers classroom, practical, and on-the-job instruction for technical and interpersonal skills as well as courses and seminars for ongoing organizational priorities.
- Performance management of employees while in training
- Coaching, mentoring, oversight responsibilities of employees while in training
- Monitoring and auditing employee performance
- Ensuring compliance with training requirements including disciplinary action as necessary
- Assist in identifying training requirements and related programs to assure achievement of local, regional, and corporate objectives
- Assist in the development and maintenance of courses, outlines, and training materials
- Provides technical and procedural support on training subjects and issues
- Provides functional work guidance to temporary instructors and may provide functional guidance to permanent instructors
- Conducts classroom observations and assists in instructor development
- Requires international and domestic travel
- Dependable and Reliable – in classroom on time and prepared to start
- Follow up with stations regarding training summary and individual student performance – level of detail and depth of comments - should be proactive and not required to asked to be done
- Own session management from beginning to end – session requests, managing rosters and enrollment, session close out, ordering and shipping of materials, etc.
- Own participant’s learning experience from beginning to end – welcome people to learning, engage learners in a positive and affirming way, provide feedback for performance according to course objectives, close out sessions to create interest and excitement for development and successful performance.

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):- 2+ years of relevant experience
- At least 6 months of training experience
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly team-oriented environment
- Strong communication skills, customer service orientation, and ability to build relationships with all levels of personnel
- Ability to maintain composure and patience when dealing with trainees of varying skill levels
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- Excellent time management, follow-through, and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy and ability to delegate work as needed
- Flexibility to adapt training methods to different learning styles and personalities
- Ability to handle highly confidential information
- Flexibility to work various shifts to support 24/7/365 operation (including overnight, weekend, holiday, and overtime hours)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
- 2+ years of Airport Operations experience
