As an Environmental Protection Specialist, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list:
Gathers information and data necessary to demonstrate compliance with air permits and regulations, calculating potential and actual air emissions, performing compliance inspections of facilities.
Maintains knowledge of the Clean Air Act and applicability for Fort Huachuca.
Researches new and proposed regulations; provides input to command briefings on impacts of existing and upcoming Clean Air Act regulations; evaluates impacts and develops recommendations to mitigate impacts.
Assists in the management of permits (permits to operate, permits to construct, Title V permits).
Assists in the preparation and maintenance of Program Plans and Reports.
Identifies needs and develops Environmental Program Requirements Reports (EPRs) for new air quality projects.
Reviews plans and drawings for Corps of Engineers or local engineers for Clean Air Act Compliance.
Assists staff with other compliance programs outside the Air Compliance Program.
