DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach up to six semester credit hours (up to two (2) courses) within the required discipline. Instruction may be delivered on-campus, off-campus, or online and may be during the day and/or evening as dictated by student demand and departmental needs.
Develop and manage the class syllabus and ensure that the syllabus meets department and college standards.
Plan and create lectures, in-class discussions, and assignments.
Assess grades for students based on participation, performance in class, assignments, and examinations.
Assist/mentor students as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: MSA or MBA degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance from an AACSB accredited university or a combination of graduate degrees in accounting or finance from an AACSB accredited program. At least 18 hours of graduate level accounting or finance. Candidates with a specialized degree in taxation; a combination of degrees in accounting/taxation and law; or terminal degree in accounting or finance or a closely related field may teach graduate coursework.
Experience: At least 2-years of experience working in accounting or finance for a public firm, industry, or with a governmental entity. Demonstrated expertise in the subject area.
Knowledge / Skills: Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to: Multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Licensing/Professional Certifications: One or more of the following designations: CPA, CFE, CIA, CMA, EA, or CFF.
PREFERRED EDUCATION / SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:

Candidates who hold current relevant professional credentials.
College or University teaching experience.
Evidence of teaching excellence.
Prior relevant industry experience.
Online or hybrid teaching experience.
Experience engaging students with synchronous and asynchronous communication in an online learning environment.
