Job Description
As an experienced professional in Business Analysis, in the Corporate Sector- Wholesale Credit Risk Technology Organization, you'll shape the technology solutions that drive strategic initiatives across the firm. Working at the intersection of business and technology, you'll interact with colleagues in various lines of businesses to learn about challenges and opportunities, and translate that insight into high-quality solutions. In addition to working with the development team to create new solutions, you'll help optimize existing technology and identify new capabilities. While your role requires deep technological skills - including expertise in everything from data management to functional design - it also hinges on teamwork and leadership. You'll offer clear guidance and feedback to your Business Analysis colleagues, while promoting the values, culture, and brand of JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Job responsibilities:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of business processes and data analysis, as well as the ability to construct complex data queries and collaborate with colleagues
  • Ability to liaison between lines of business and development teams, translating strategic goals into technology solutions, and vice versa
  • Experience in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning
  • Understanding of business needs, including how data is used and managed, and functional design
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals. Perform a deep dive analysis of the existing systems capabilities.
  • Partner in analyzing and developing solutions to solve complex business problems with members of the broader team. Documentation of requirements, ideally with Spec by Example documents when appropriate. Close partnership with software engineers on the team to automate as much testing as possible.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Solid experience in business analysis - track record of, and able to evidence, a history of successful delivery of requirements, testing and ultimately software platforms.
  • Product knowledge: Loans, Traded Products
  • Proven track record of working with business partners to gather requirements, understand and document
  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field with a focus on technology or business curriculum.
  • Experience with Investment Banking and knowledge of Investments
  • Able to analyze and develop SQL queries as well as related debugging activities within an application. Strong affinity for technology.
  • Proven ability to ensure that risks and issues are escalated and addressed in a timely manner. Effective influencing skills and an ability to work with a diverse team of technologists


Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:

  • Must be detail oriented, needs to be able to investigate and solve for the details independently by partnering with relevant technology or business colleagues
  • Experience in the adoption / implementation of Agile / Scrum. History of actively participating in all Scrum ceremonies and familiarity of terms. Ability to organize/manage multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills / Ability to run meetings and drive agenda
  • Experience working closely with AD architects and Design Authorities
