Reports To: Quality Assurance Manager

Work Arrangements: 100% on-site
  • Typical schedule - Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

In this role you will:
  • Manage Quality Assurance lab functions - including ordering supplies, working in Silo/unloading, ensuring equipment is operational, training QA Technicians, and supporting QA Technicians and daily quality checks as needed
  • Complies with all FDA, BRCGS, and Company food safety and quality policies
  • Manage and build skills and capabilities in Quality Key Element Owners and Quality Functional Leaders
  • Drive Continuous Improvement in the Quality programs
  • Owns and Drive CAPA System, working with Operations
  • Manages Database for Calibration Systems, Food Safety Devices
  • Supports and Contributes to Supplier Corrective Action Response (SCAR)
  • Support Operations with Quality opportunities
  • Coordinate preparations for all internal and external quality audits
  • Monitors Food Safety Plans and daily expectations
  • Assist Quality Assurance Manager with implementation and compliance
  • Evaluates WIP and Finished products for Hold/Disposition
  • Understand and Assist with sanitation programs
  • Input new and updated formulas and BOMs utilizing Prodika formulation system
  • Proficy system super user

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma
  • 2 years of laboratory, quality, or other related experience
  • 1 year of manufacturing operational experience
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability - to work a problem from problem statement development through root cause identification and systemic corrective action implementation

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
  • A Bachelor's Degree
  • A degree in Food Science, Biology, or Chemical Engineering
  • HACCP & PCQI Certifications
  • Food safety audit experience (FDA and BRC)
  • Food (human or pet) or beverage experience
  • Demonstrated analytical & data analysis skills
