This position is envisioned to work primarily in site/area master planning, conceptual design, and schematic design; some areas of work will fall into planning (i.e. working with municipalities on creating guiding/regulatory plans such as a downtown district master plan) and construction documents (i.e. doing final design of parks and public places in AutoCAD, selecting materials and furniture, developing specifications, assisting with bidding, and construction administration).

We are considering Urban Designers/Landscape Architects who possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture, architecture, or a design-related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in urban design, landscape architecture, architecture, or park design. • Knowledge of the construction document process for built projects (design development, construction documents, and construction administration). Extensive construction document experience is not required.
  • Experience with Civil 3D or AutoCAD.
  • Seeking candidates with good graphic, written and verbal communication skills.

Additional qualifications, considered a plus:

  • Master's degree in landscape architecture, architecture, urban design, or a design-related field.

In order to be considered as a candidate, please include a brief cover letter, resume that includes software proficiency levels; and a portfolio indicating design, drawings, and graphic design content. We welcome the opportunity to see your design process, models, or sketches (including rough sketches or modeling that are not "presentation-quality"), in addition to final drawings and design content.
