About Our Client
Our client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Production Supervisor to oversee our production team. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing daily production activities, ensuring adherence to production schedules, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Production Oversight:Supervise and coordinate daily production activities according to established schedules and priorities.Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to ensure on-time delivery and meet production targets.
Team Leadership:Lead and motivate production team members to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members to foster skill development and enhance productivity.
Quality Assurance:Ensure adherence to quality control standards and procedures to achieve consistent product quality.Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues promptly.
Safety and Compliance:Promote and enforce safety guidelines and regulations to create a safe working environment.Investigate accidents or incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Process Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements.Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Inventory and Resource Management:Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material replenishment to support production schedules.Optimize resource utilization, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
Reporting and Documentation:Maintain accurate production records, including production reports, downtime logs, and employee records.Prepare and present performance reports and metrics to management as required.

The Successful Applicant
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred).Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing environment.Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality standards.Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures (OSHA, etc.).Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.Preferred Qualifications:Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or similar credentials.Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling software.
Working Conditions:Fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and equipment noise.Occasional weekend or evening work may be required to support production schedules.
