Sioux City Explorers Baseball ClubProud member of the American Association of Professional Baseball JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title:  Director,  Corporate SalesReports to:  VP / General ManagerStart Date:  November 2024 Overview:  The Sioux City Explorers are looking for a high energy, hard-working, success driven individual to lead our Corporate Sales efforts throughout the 2025 season and beyond.  With a great ballpark and great community this is a perfect opportunity for someone looking to make a mark and advance their sales career with an up-and-coming organization. Position Summary:  Individual is directly responsible for leading and managing all Corporate Sales efforts (Sponsorships and Corporate Tickets/Hospitality) for the Sioux City Explorers.  Primary focus is on generating revenue via direct sales efforts (cold calling and in-person meetings) and building relationships with other businesses throughout Siouxland.  This person will largely focus on generating new business while also assisting with some renewal accounts.  Additionally, this person will oversee fulfillment of corporate sponsorships while also ensuring the team is actively promoting and maintaining these relationships throughout the year.  The Director, Corporate Sales will also build and lead a team of seasonal Sales Associates focused on selling ticket and group packages throughout the year.  Essential Functions:   1.        Sales â Responsible for achieving a personal sales goal primarily generated through new sales (cold calls, in person meetings, networking), while also directly managing additional part time sales staff. 2.        Leadership - Be a leader amongst our staff - demonstrated through hard work and the ability/desire to help grow the organization.  This person will be counted on to bring creative ideas to the table that continue to push the success of the Explorers

3.        Be involved in the community setting face to face sales meetings, attending functions and developing creative ways to engage the business community. 

4.        Managing Corporate accounts to ensure fulfillment and top-notch customer service.   5.        Fulfill and maintain an assigned standard in personal sales efforts.   6.        Provide exceptional customer service to all Xâs fans and clients. 7.        Assist in database management / data analysis as need, in an effort to promote growth of the organization. 8.        Responsible for all paperwork that is attributed to clients - contracts, proof or performance, etc.

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1.        Bachelorâs Degree plus 3 - 4 years of related experience in Minor League sports sales (or equivalent industry) 2.        Desire to succeed in Sales   3.        Proven track record of hitting and exceeding yearly sales goals (both individual and personal) 4.        Proficient in Microsoft Office products 5.        Ability to motivate and communicate effectively with staff.  6.        Ability to work effectively on an individual basis and within a team framework. 7.        Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and achieve objectives. 8.        Strong planning and organizational skills. 9.        Ability to maintain a professional business image. 10.     Desire to work long hours when needed to achieve results.  Compensation:
