Building Technologist

A multi-disciplinary architectural, engineering and construction firm is seeking a Building Technologist to help them support their Project Managers and Principals in investigating and resolving construction challenges at their Austin, TX office.
Your Day Includes:
Reviewing design and construction documentsDocumenting existing conditions at project sitesConducting non-destructive and destructive testingResearching code requirements and industry standardsInspect construction for conformance with contract documents, including technical specifications and drawings, industry standards, and manufacturer’s requirements.Must Haves:
Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering, construction management, or related field preferredUnderstanding of commercial construction required and three years of relevant work experience in residential and/or commercial construction preferredWorking knowledge of Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, and Excel requiredAbility to work outdoors for up to 8 hours at a time, including on ladders, scaffolding, and roofsP.S.
