Job Title: Senior Actuarial Analyst

Responsibilities:

  • Produce comprehensive rate indications for different states and deliver key insights to actuarial and business management.

  • Work closely with product managers to devise detailed rate adjustments on a state-by-state basis, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

  • Assess the effects of proposed rate changes and communicate your findings through well-structured reports, presentations, and exhibits to management.

  • Transition existing Excel-based tools to Radar for more efficient rate analysis and implementation, enhancing productivity and accuracy.

  • Provide essential actuarial support for rate filings, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Engage in the annual nationwide Profitability Study to assess and report on the financial health of the company.

  • Contribute to the enhancement of processes by improving existing methods, creating new solutions, and modernizing tools to boost efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • At least four years of experience in pricing within the insurance industry, ideally with a focus on Personal lines.

  • Experience in creating automated rating calculations using tools like Radar, Python, R, or similar technologies is highly desirable.

  • Strong analytical abilities with a talent for clearly and effectively communicating analyses, financial results, and other work outputs, both verbally and in writing.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with a proven track record of maintaining thorough documentation and accurate record-keeping.

  • Ability to work independently, offering innovative solutions and recommendations when faced with new challenges.
