Responsibilities:

• Acquisition Logistics. Assists in the acquisition of weapons, weapon systems, armament systems and associated support equipment by applying experience and broad spectrum of knowledge of logistics. Knowledge areas and experience include but are not limited to performing supportability analyses, determining manpower requirements, evaluating human/system interfaces, influencing system design to optimize life cycle sustainment strategy, determining supply support, interpreting facility requirements, determining packaging requirements to meet transportation/handling demands, identifying peculiar and common support equipment needs and evaluating technical data acquisition strategy to support life cycle sustainment needs.
• Maintenance Planning. Provide knowledge and experience in identifying, planning, resourcing, and implementing munitions maintenance concepts and requirements to ensure the best possible equipment/capability is available when the warfighter needs it at the lowest possible total ownership cost.
• Technical Data. Provide knowledge and experience in identifying, planning, resourcing, and implementing management actions to develop and acquire information to operate, install, maintain, and train on the munitions related equipment to maximize its effectiveness and availability; effectively catalog and acquire spare/repair parts, support equipment, and all classes of supply.
• Technical Order Management. Be able to support execution of TO development, acquisition and management efforts by applying knowledge of current Air Force processes governing such efforts. Requires an in-depth knowledge of the Air Force 00 series technical orders, applicable MIL-Standards, the Enhanced Technical Information System (ETIMS) and the Comprehensive Air Force Technical Order Plan (CAFTOP) system.
• Munitions Material Handling Equipment. Provide knowledge and experience in munitions material handling equipment. This includes identifying and developing requirements, design, verification and validation, and fielding of logistics handling equipment, munition loading/unloading equipment, and munition maintenance enabling tools/equipment.

 

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate
• Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in the US as a permanent resident.
• Active Top Secret security clearance
• 10+ years of military experience in the Weapons Load career field with appropriate certifications
• 20+ years of experience in munition maintenance and munition acquisition efforts
• Familiarity and experience with DT&E in munitions acquisition programs
• Above average written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated planning and coordination skills.

 

Desired Qualifications:
• College course work / and or Associate Degree
• 20+ years of military experience in the armament or munition maintenance career field with appropriate certifications
• 30+ years of experience in armament or munition maintenance and acquisition efforts
• 10+ years of DT&E experience in armament/munitions acquisition programs
