In this position, your primary purpose is to develop original designs, concepts, and visual styles for OI and CBP Intelligence Enterprise (IE) through publications, exhibits, presentations, and websites using various software design programs to deliver the intended message for multiple audiences
and/or that reduce the cost of production, installation, or maintenance of a broad inventory of visual products.

This position starts at a salary of $82,764.00 (GS-11, Step 1) to $128,956.00 (GS-12, Step 10) with promotion potential to $128,596 (GS-13 Step 10).

Duties performed in this position:
Applying skills in a variety of visual arts methods, techniques, and materials, as well as knowledge of the Intelligence Cycle, intelligence subject matter or a program area to develop original designs, concepts, or visual styles for publications, exhibits, or presentation materials.
Transforming spoken or written descriptions into visual representations without benefit of existing pictures, models; and graphically or physically reconstruct scientific or technological artifacts, specimens or materials that have been significantly damaged, distorted, or altered.
Serving as a Visual Information Specialist in developing visual products for various audiences to include (but not limited to): CBP executive leadership, operational offices, representatives from Congress, members of the U.S. Government (USG), and foreign allies.
Serving as a technical consultant to OI and CBP IE senior leaders and staff on all printing/electronic publishing-related matters. Advise clients, stakeholders, or staff on general, preliminary graphics plans prior to submission of the end-product to subject matter expert for review.
Managing and updating SharePoint pages for OI and the CBP IE. Responsible for posting presentations, articles, OI and CBP IE information, product information, and any other messages on the applicable organizational web pages. Employee will act as the coordinator for responding to all homepage inquiries and recommend enhancements for updating webpages.
