Banner University Medical Group is seeking a full time Family Medicine Faculty Physician to work in a role involving outpatient care with an emphasis on Disability and Developmental Medicine. Join the growing academic team with the Department of Family & Community Medicine at our community hospital campus in weather-perfect Tucson, AZ.

This position is an excellent academic opportunity for a BC|BE Family Medicine physician with experience/expertise in Disability Medicine to join a dynamic faculty team that is supporting the Family Community Medicine Department of Banner University Medical Group - Tucson. Physician hired will have a faculty appointment at the University of Arizona commensurate with the candidates credentials.

Position Highlights:

Family practice including Disability/Developmental MedicineDevelop pilot projects and new initiatives in response to emerging issuesLead medical education and developmental medicine activitiesConduct scholarly work representing and contributing to the UCEDDParticipate in trainings providing presentations and guest lectures for UCEDD courses/eventsContribute to the implementation of the five-year CORE grantPursue extramural funding to support/expand activitiesSupervision of residents in the outpatient settingFlexibility in scheduling to cover both clinic and residency needs

Qualifications:

Experience as residency faculty in a family medicine residency programCurriculum development skills for residency educationPredoctoral teaching skillsExperience in continuity Family Medicine practice to include full-spectrum outpatient care at a residency teaching site

This Physician in this role will collaborate with the University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) faculty and staff to advance UCEDD programs in models of health care delivery, educational programs, trainees/health science students/resident and practicing physicians, and programs in health self-advocacy.
