Position Overview:
Our Client is seeking a motivated and self-starting Engineering Manager to join their team. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the engineering team, overseeing project design, and ensuring successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Licensure and Team Leadership:
Obtain and maintain Professional Engineering licensure.Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Engineers and/or Engineering Supervisors.Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.Coordinate employee work schedules with other supervisors and management within the Design & Engineering department.Projects and Design:
Review calculations and drawings to ensure they meet standards for professional stamp.Ensure the safety of structures, working conditions, and quality of products and services by collaborating with all departments.Interpret Architectural and Structural plans and perform necessary calculations to ensure structural integrity.Oversee project design teams, ensuring project milestones are met and deliverables are achieved for both internal and external customers.Identify potential issues with project schedules and quality, proposing solutions with internal teams.Collaborate with internal departments and coordinate with Contractors, Engineers, Architects, and Owners as needed.Provide engineering support for sales staff on prospective jobs.Visit manufacturing facilities and construction sites as required.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a comparable ABET-accredited degree.Professional Engineering Licensure required.10+ years of experience in precast design preferred.
