Duties and responsibilities included but not limited to:

Demonstrates integration of biopsychosocial concepts, cognitive skills, and technically competent practice while providing care to clients.
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on age-specific components.
Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care.
Administers medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines.
Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team.
Provides competent, evidence based care to assigned patients with oversight of licensed vocational nurses/nursing assistants as appropriate to the setting.
Directing the provision of nursing education, orientation, competencies and providing quality improvement and outcomes utilization.
Plans and delivers technically competent care to patients in alignment with the ANA Standards of Nursing Practice.
Be in compliance with the Medical Staff bylaws and will complete all assigned notes, encounters and chart reviews timely.
Maintains licensing and credentialing in good standing.
Manages nursing care of patients, organizes, and completes own assignments in a safe and timely manner, assisting team members as necessary.
Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of interdisciplinary care.
Establishes a therapeutic relationship, allowing the patient to achieve optimal function through assessment and treatment of their health enhancing the patient experience, satisfaction, and/or safety.
Treats all patients, families and other caregivers with dignity and respect incorporating knowledge, values, and beliefs into nursing care delivery without judgement or discrimination
Recognizes ethical issues related to professional nursing practice and behaves in an appropriate manner through observance of established policies and ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses.
Applies high reliability principles and I CARE values to improve patient outcomes.
Demonstrates the ability to communicate confidently with members of the healthcare team and demonstrate professional behaviors that promotes cooperation and teamwork.
Shares knowledge and creates opportunities for collaboration that encourage team cohesiveness.
Uses available resources and sound clinical judgement to achieve results.
Demonstrates professional behavior and works effectively with others, builds on strengths, and takes positive action to meet growing responsibilities.
Manages time to meet the flexibility in schedule and assignments.
Other duties as assigned by leadership.



Preferred Experience:

1 year experience of outpatient clinic care
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

This position is eligible for
the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP),
a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.
Program Approval
, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
