Our client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our dynamic team and oversee our manufacturing processes.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management:Oversee daily production operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.Monitor production KPIs and implement corrective actions to address deviations.
Team Leadership:Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors, operators, and technicians.Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the production team.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
Process Optimization:Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower production costs.Collaborate with the R&D and engineering teams to scale up new products from pilot to full-scale production.Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Quality Assurance:Ensure all products meet stringent quality standards and customer specifications.Implement and maintain robust quality control systems and procedures.Address and resolve any production-related quality issues promptly.
Safety and Compliance:Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.Develop and implement safety training programs for production staff.
Inventory and Supply Chain Management:Manage inventory levels of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure uninterrupted production.Coordinate with the procurement team to source high-quality raw materials at competitive prices.Collaborate with logistics to optimize the supply chain and delivery schedules.
Budgeting and Reporting:Prepare and manage the production budget, controlling costs and optimizing spending.Generate regular production reports for senior management, highlighting performance metrics and improvement plans.Participate in strategic planning and contribute to long-term business objectives.

The Successful Applicant
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 7 years of experience in a production management role within the chemical manufacturing industry, preferably with a focus on materials for aviation.Proven track record of successful team leadership and process optimization.Strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.What's on Offer
