What the day will Look Like:
- Delegate and coach more junior colleagues
- Review work for both accuracy and reasonability
- Provide technical leadership to clients and plays a significant role in client meetings
- Communicate on technical topics with clients
- Be proactive in initiating and leading discussions
- Master basic technical concepts and apply to broader assignments
How this Opportunity is Different:
Successful candidates will focus primarily on working with new and existing clients on actuarial strategy for pension plans and broader consulting on retirement plans. Colleagues in this role are expected to lead key client relationships, maintain leadership of a strong local client team located in Burlington, and assist in business and office leadership. Candidates are expected to have a strong background in technical aspects of pension and retiree medical valuations and experience working in strategic project areas, including settlements, plan design, funding strategy and pension de-risking.
Skills and Experience that will lead to success:
- 5+ years of retirement actuarial work experience
- Significant experience and expertise with pension and retiree medical plans
- ASA, FSA or EA Credentials; will consider candidates in the exam process.
- Ability to work under pressur of fixed deadlines.
- Bachelors Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or equivalent years of industry experience

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position intended for U.S. applicants is $110k-$145k annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of State/Region. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive [an annual discretionary bonus] in addition to base salary. The amount of any [bonus] varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
