ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Define component specifications for vehicle bodies, HVAC, lighting, and cabinetry. Work with purchasing and production to assist with material sourcing. Produce vehicle drawings in Solidworks ensuring all customer specifications are met. Define detailed design drawings to support: sheet metal cutting, fabrication, woodshop, assembly. Create bills of material, maintain revision control, process engineering change orders. Resolve manufacturing shop floor questions and issues as required. Design for manufacturing and assembly. Support cost reduction effort through lean activities. Other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Ability to communicate by providing verbal feedback in a professional manner. Ability to receive and analyze data and input into the computer. Normal range of hearing and vision.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing. BSME or equivalent experience CAD experience preferred Design/Build experience in an automotive environment or related field Solidworks experience Bill of materials creation experience ERP Experience Cabinet-woodworking design and manufacturing Cost improvement project experience Automotive knowledge and/or experience a plus Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
