The Business Solutions Analyst position will be focused on our custom application development and support projects that drive innovation and create more efficient processes at the TOUR. Key to this role is the ability to perform system/process analysis, document business requirements, define technical systems specifications, and coordinate with development teams to deliver solutions. This position will partner with business stakeholders to learn and understand business process needs to develop innovative IT solutions for complex business problems. The ideal candidate will have experience working with internal development resources and third-party vendors in delivering custom solutions. In addition to providing expertise in systems analysis, excellent customer service skills will be key to building relationships enabling this candidate to work effectively with internal and external partners. A large part of this role is the ability to be flexible, take on various tasks, and work across multiple technology platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent work experience.

  • 3+ years in an analyst role with a focus on working with development teams in building IT solutions.

  • 2+ years working with PHP, Python, HTML, Java, SQL or other programming languages

  • Experience planning and leading development or IT projects.

  • Project management experience with exposure to various methodologies. (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, Lean, etc.)

  • Possess understanding in the areas of application development and system design.

  • Have excellent analytical skills in understanding complex data relationships.

  • Experience leading technology systems implementations both large and small.

  • Experience supporting both front-end and back-end applications.

  • Ability to create project documentation and clearly define project requirements, scope, and schedule.

  • Excellent communication, listening, and collaboration skills.

  • Familiarity with project software systems. (e.g. JIRA, Smartsheet, Monday, Trello, Zendesk)

  • Creative problem solver who is able to think laterally to develop technical solutions to complex problems.

  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time-management skills.

  • Experience with AWS services, Atlassian platform, Smartsheet, Salesforce preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Work with our external and internal customers (business units/product teams) to understand the requirements needed to develop or support business solutions and other technical deliverables.

  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.

  • Work closely with development resources in the creation of technology solutions.

  • Function as a product owner after projects are delivered, helping to provide training and successful adoption.

  • Actively participate in the implementation and measurement of recommendations to monitor performance and impact.

  • Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time issues.

  • Coordinate/manage third parties/vendors and contractors as partners on large projects.

  • Deliver custom solutions for small projects using internal tools and software that we have available to us.

  • Exhibit flexibility and capacity to learn new job functions and take on projects as requested.
