What you'll be working on
- Collaborates closely with department managers to gather requests and make strategic recommendations to meet critical marketing and communications needs.
- Provides high-quality graphic design services to CPK business units that effectively convey messaging via various media channels including print, digital, social, and internal/external platforms.
- Ensures design projects meet the needs of management, senior leadership, and Board members to effectively communicate to the employee population and/or external audiences. Effective project prioritization and meeting deadlines are mandatory for this role.
- Collaborates with financial teams to interpret and visualize financial data effectively. This involves creating charts, graphs and presentations to communicate financial performance, investment opportunities and budget allocations with the goal to convert complex information to easily understandable and pleasing visual content.
- Effectively manages outsourced design projects including photography, video production, visual design, and mail house production while ensuring budget and timeline adherence and brand consistency.
- As a member of the incident response team, this role will be responsible for supporting crisis communications activities during storm events and other emergencies. They will work closely with internal clients to create visual materials that communicate critical updates for all stakeholders in a timely manner and work collaboratively until the event is resolved.
- Responsible for maintaining files and ensuring proper organization of final artwork to facilitate easy access and retrieval.
- Prioritize in-house projects over outsourcing when possible to ensure the most cost[1]effective solution for all assigned projects. As a project manager for design projects, all outsourced expenses must be tracked and reported.
- As a project manager, this role must adhere to brand guidelines in their design projects and obtain proper approvals before releasing final artwork to any party outside of the Strategic Communications department.
- May provide professional photography services if skilled in this area, but not required.
- Completes other creative projects as assigned.
Who you are...
- BA in Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications or relevant field.
- Minimum of three years of equivalent work experience in Graphic Design, Marketing or relevant field.
- Solid understanding of web design principles, including responsive design, user experience.
- Strong proficiency in WordPress, including experience with theme customization, plugin management.
- Mastery of design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
Where you'll be working:
- Remote based with some periodic travel required for trainings, meetings and events.
